Lively: Thanks for sharing your day with us! To kick things off, can you tell us about what you do at Vital Proteins and what you enjoy about your role?
Anna Pan: Yes! I work on the Retail Marketing Team as a Retail Marketing Manager. I work as a liaison between the sales and marketing teams to bring marketing strategies to life in retail stores and engage shoppers along their path to purchase both in-stores and online.
A huge part of why I love my role is that I work cross-functionally with so many different people in the organization! This really pushes me to build strong relationships and get to know all kinds of different teams, which is so fun for me because I get to learn what they do in the process.
L: Walk us through your morning routine – how has it changed (or not) since staying home?
AP: I am a huge night owl, which means I'm usually up late and love to snooze my alarm at least five times before I actually get up in the morning!
Once I'm up, I'll usually head straight to the kitchen to make some coffee with our new Chocolate Collagen Peptides, and a breakfast smoothie with our Collagen Beauty Glow® in Tropical Hibiscus. Then, I'll get dressed and settle down at my desk and start my day by catching up on some of the latest industry news, scroll on social, and pop into our daily team call!
L: Where have you been getting inspiration for projects or tasks you might be working on throughout the day?
AP: A lot of my inspo comes from walking grocery store aisles, scrolling through my favorite brands' social pages, and chatting with friends and mentors in the industry! The reason for this is that I can see what cool tactics other brands are activating on in-stores and online, and also chat through those ideas with different people in the industry.
L: Lunchtime! What's your plan?
AP: Lately, I haven't been a big lunch gal! Usually I'll work through lunch and grab a mid-afternoon snack – handful of almonds, an apple, and of course, a Vital Performance™ Protein Bar (Chocolate Almond is my favorite).
L: You're hitting your mid-afternoon slump. How do you re-energize your afternoon?
L: How have you been practicing #wellnessfromhome these days?
AP: This one has been a huge mix of things for me. I don't like doing the same thing every day, so usually my wellness ranges from meditating, going for a run or walk, biking/spin, or just relaxing at home with my sweet kitty, Brie!
