We are hot on the heels of the end of a season, and most of us are caught somewhere between shock that it all went by so fast and gratitude that we can put it behind us and get going on a fresh start. We’re here to make that transition a little easier by providing you with a very important forecast: our report for beauty trends!
We have been witnessing the sharp decline of the excessively contoured face full of makeup, and we are now trending toward a clean, fresh face. A little light foundation here, some glossy lips there, some nice bold lashes and brows over there, and you’re good to go. Brands and celebrities are focusing more on that “no makeup” makeup look. And while it is still always fun to throw on a heavy shadow now and again, this year, the fresh face is IN!
To perfectly complement the fresh-face trend, people are focusing more on what they put into their bodies. After all, a glowing complexion can easily be achieved with a clean diet and skincare routine. Budgets are slowly but surely being revamped to include healthy skin supplements, cleaner food-based diets, and higher-end skincare products. Millennials are looking beyond fad diets and focusing more on what will keep them healthy and strong. Think: preventative nutrition.
In fact, the desire to simply prevent issues early on is gaining even more traction. While preventative botox has been trending for some time now, preventative treatments, such as PRP and microneedling, which keep the skin firm and smooth naturally, are becoming much more common in younger circles.
This is some exciting stuff to look forward to in the start of a season. But there’s no need to wait ’til the next one's over. First, add a scoop of Collagen Peptides to your hot chocolate. Then, cozy up with a nice face mask for some serious self-care. You’ll be rocking that inner glow all throughout the year.
