Lively: Thanks for sharing your day with us! To kick things off, can you tell us about what you do at Vital Proteins and what you enjoy about your role?
Erica Lee: I am the Director of Talent Acquisition at Vital Proteins. My role affords me with an opportunity to be instrumental in shaping the talent for the organization. I take it very seriously.
L: Walk us through your morning routine – how has it changed (or not) since staying home?
EL: My morning routine has not changed much. It is imperative that I have a large cup of coffee with a scoop of our Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides. Before starting my workday, I set aside a few moments for meditation.
L: Where have you been getting inspiration for projects or tasks you might be working on throughout the day?
EL: No two days are ever the same. My passion for talent acquisition is what provides the inspiration. Many applicants are a fan of the Vital Proteins brand; therefore, we should always treat them as if they are a new customer. Any mistake can affect the bottom line. I focus heavily on cultivating the candidate and hiring manager experience.
L: Lunchtime! What's your plan?
EL: I generally do not plan for a big lunch. I usually snack on fruits or carrots while I work.
L: You're hitting your mid-afternoon slump. How do you re-energize your afternoon?
EL: If I need to re-energize in the mid-afternoon, I will take a few moments to play or take a short walk with my dog Bailey. He is so full of energy and helps to get me out of the slump.
L: How have you been practicing #wellnessfromhome these days?
EL: One way I've been practicing wellness at home is preparing healthier meal options for dinner. The method I have used to remain aligned is with weekly meal prep.
