The taste is a bit rough.
I've been using this product for a few weeks now, and I see the difference in my nails for sure. That being said, the powder is clumpy in water, and the taste is super bitter and hard to describe. It does not mix well with tea, so I have to either choke down with water or put in a smoothie. Next time I'll be buying the peptides so that they have no taste! Only bought this product because it was on sale.
Collegen Melon & Mint
I was disappointed with the texture and taste. I have been using the basic Collegen in the blue tub for two years and happy with the texture & taste. The Melon & Mint was difficult to mix as fibreous and didn’t taste very nice. So will go back to the basic Collegen in the blue tub.
I heard about collagen protein powders months ago on Dr Oz and planned on trying it. Then I came across this product in the clearance section at Target. For the awesome price, I finally tried it. It didn't dissolve well in water and the taste wasn't too great. So I tried mixing it in hot tea (which dissolved better) until we hit triple digits. Now I'm mixing it in plain Greek yogurt and ice cream. Since the Melon Mint taste is mild, it works out perfectly. As for the results, I was trying to improve my middle-age, dry skin. I started seeing improvements to my skin texture after a few days. And I'm only using it on the weekends (weekdays are chaotic) so I'm very happy with it! I'm glad I didn't just complain about the taste or how it clumps in water like so many other reviews I've read. Instead found a solution by going beyond mixing it in water. I'm hooked!
