An Hourly Breakdown Of Our Editor's Collagen Routine

I first tried Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides at my last editor gig, where I covered celebrity wellness trends, among other fun topics. It was love at first scoop (in my tea) – so much so it quickly became a staple in my self-care routine.

I have since tried many other VP products in our lineup and am proud to say I no longer have one favorite. They’re all just that good and complement my sometimes-crazy schedule in the most seamless way possible.

How Writer-Editor Grace Gavilanes Adds Collagen To Her Routine

7:15 a.m.: After hitting snooze twice (okay, maybe three times), I finally get out of bed and drowsily walk to my kitchen, where I drink half of a Strawberry Lemon Collagen Water™ and scroll through my phone to find an at-home HIIT workout to struggle through. I’m a very big fan of POPSUGAR's workouts on YouTube. They’re tough but I always feel like a champ when I’m done!

8:30 a.m.: I'm squeaky clean after my shower and so ready to kick off my matcha routine. It's what I look forward to every morning! I add two scoops of Matcha Collagen to my favorite mug and follow it up with some hot water. I then top it off with almond milk, take a sip and walk over to my laptop and get to work!

10:00 a.m.: I decide it's probably a good time to finally have breakfast. I quickly whip up a smoothie (I usually add a scoop of our Collagen Beauty Greens) and pair it with handfuls of chocolate granola, which I keep near my workspace at all times. The essentials, ya know?

3:20 p.m.: Oh, the dreaded mid-afternoon slump! I can definitely live without it. But the Energy Collagen Shot™ always comes to the rescue. Hot tip: I keep it in the fridge to keep it refreshing. It’s a tasty way to recharge – especially if you’re a grapefruit fan!

9:10 p.m.: As I send my final email of the night and get comfy on the couch with my weighted blanket and two The Office episodes, I prepare myself a Blueberry Moon Milk Collagen Latte™. It literally only calls for hot water, which gives me enough time in my nighttime routine to put on a sheet mask and get to jade rollin' before bed. Then I do it all over again the next day!
