Lively: Thanks for sharing your day with us, Fallon! To kick things off, can you tell us about what you do at Vital Proteins and what you enjoy about your role?

Fallon Ryan: I work on experiential events and lifestyle PR. I love my role because it evolves with the current climate of pop culture and world happenings, which offers many surprise opportunities you wouldn’t imagine to be within my job title. A few examples include helping launch Give Vital (VP’s charitable division), designing our fan-favorite tie-dye Vital blue sweatshirt with the launch of Tik Tok, coordinating interviews with celebrity stylists like my friend Dani Michelle for Behind The Glow, and planning a surprise birthday party for our CEO Kurt (pressure on!), to name a few. Basically, I love the ability to flex my creativity in my role.

L: Walk us through your morning routine – how has it changed (or not) since staying home?

FR: I’m a big routine girl - that’s the first line in all my dating profiles. 😂Since staying at home, I wake up way earlier: 6 am (lack of wine nights)! I love it - I hope I can keep it up. So I wake up, make my bed, workout with Alo Moves or Peleton app, gulp a shot of Apple Cider Vinegar (cringe, but I am convinced it cures everything), black coffee, and write down “just 3 things” I am grateful for before I open my laptop. I’m actually trying to be kinder to myself when I mess up my morning routine and remind myself: “you always have 24 hours to restart your day with a positive mindset.”

L: Where have you been getting inspiration for projects or tasks you might be working on throughout the day?

FR: I am falling back in love with collaging mood boards on Pinterest, so 2010 of me. So if I’m working on a themed event, I will go down a rabbit-hole of inspiration which usually leads me to purchasing shoes I didn’t need in the first place. I also read NYT, People, and DailyMail daily (they offer great briefing newsletters that deliver to your email.)

L: Lunchtime! What’s your plan?

FR: I am on a very strict collagen diet.

L: You’re hitting your mid-afternoon slump. How do you re-energize your afternoon?

FR: Iced Coffee with Vanilla Collagen Creamer™, inspired by Sophia Sesto. I have also been taking an icy cold gua-sha to the face to improve circulation. Feels so fresh!
